HOW TO GET YOUR GAME FILM OUT OF PIXELLOT

Where Pixellot games live

A Pixellot camera is mounted at the field, gym or rink, and its games go to the team’s Pixellot account. Many high school games on the NFHS Network are filmed by these cameras too; those come from the school’s NFHS Console, which the athletic director runs. Parents and players can often watch and share games, but sharing gives a link to watch, not a file.

Two ways to get the games from your coach

Send your coach an upload link. On your private order page, choose My coach or team has the film, pick the camera, and type the team name and your athlete’s jersey number on that team. You get a private upload page and a ready message to text or email your coach. The page only takes film and shows the coach nothing else about your order. Everything the coach sends lands on your order with that team’s jersey number, so the editor follows the right player.

Or get the files yourself. Choose I’ll Get the Files Myself instead, and you get a message asking your coach to send you the files (a forwarded download email, Google Drive, Dropbox or a USB drive). Then upload them on your order page.

Downloading a game from Pixellot

Log in to the team’s Pixellot account on a computer, open the team, then the Videos tab. On the game, choose Request HD Export (not Pano). Pixellot emails a download link shortly after. Teams can also have Pixellot email a download link after every game.

Downloading a game from the NFHS Network

The athletic director, or another school employee with Console access, logs in to Console on a computer, opens the game and clicks Get VOD File. The file arrives by email within a few hours. Schools can also set up automatic game film emails to coaches.

Uploading the file is better than sending us the emailed link, because download links can expire before our editor gets to them.
